Shaun Mock is the Chief Financial Officer of Snapping Shoals Electric Membership Cooperative (EMC) in Covington, Georgia, which serves approximately 100,000 customers in Southeastern Metro Atlanta. He began his career in the electric cooperative business in 2000 as a student intern with the CPA firm of McNair, McLemore, Middlebrooks & Company in Macon, Georgia. Prior to his existing post as CFO, Mr. Mock served as the Accounting Supervisor of The Satilla REMC in Alma, Georgia, and the Vice President of Finance and Administration at Snapping Shoals EMC since 2009. His current areas of responsibility include finance, human resources, customer service, as well as information systems, power supply and external affairs.
Shaun is a cum laude graduate of Mercer University, earning degrees in both accounting and finance. He also earned a Master of Accountancy degree from the University of Georgia and is a Certified Public Accountant. Mr. Mock is a past president of the Georgia EMC Accounting Association and currently serves on the board of directors for Go Energy Financial Credit Union and the Henry County Chamber of Commerce. Shaun and his wife Laura reside in McDonough, Georgia, with their two daughters, Hannah (12) and Madelyn (5), where he coaches Upward Basketball and enjoys the occasional weekend at the lake.
Timothy (Tim) C. Martin is the Chief Executive Officer of Carroll Electric Membership Cooperative (EMC) in Carrollton, Georgia. He began his career in the electric cooperative business as a co-op student in 1987 while attending college. After graduating, he worked seven years in manufacturing before returning to Carroll EMC as the Manager of System Engineering in 1999. Tim joined the Go Energy Financial Board in 2017 and has been a member of the credit union since 1988. He, his wife Shelley and his two children reside in Carrollton, Georgia.
Tim Martin has over 20 years of management experience. He has a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering degree from Georgia Tech and an MBA from the University of West Georgia. Tim is a licensed professional engineer and is active in serving his community. He is a member of the Carrollton Rotary and Carrollton Kiwanis clubs and a deacon in his local church. He has served on multiple boards and is currently a board member for the Tanner Medical Foundation, University of West Georgia Foundation, Open Hands United Christian Ministry and the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce.
Nominations by petition may be submitted to the Board Secretary, Matt Brinson. The petition must contain signatures of at least 1% of credit union members in good standing, maximum of 500. Petitions with nominee bio and qualifications must be submitted by January 29, 2020. If a petition is submitted, information for the nominee(s) will be posted in all credit union lobbies by February 3, 2020, for a period of 35 days. Elections will be held by acceptable ballot if there is more than one candidate for each expiring board seat. There will be no voting at the annual meeting and nominees may not be made from the meeting floor.
