Blake Gay
Blake Gay is a seasoned Staff Accountant with over a decade of experience in various accounting roles at Planters EMC, including customer service, plant accounting, general accounting, and billing. He has expertise in financial forecasting, work plan loan packages, equity and cost of service studies, yearly budgeting, and managing FEMA-declared disaster recovery efforts. Blake holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration with a focus on Finance from Georgia Southern University and an MBA in Finance from Louisiana State University Shreveport. He earned his Cooperative Financial Professional Certificate in 2016 and has been an active leader in cooperative accounting, having served as President of the Georgia EMC Accounting Association. Outside of work, Blake is dedicated to his family, married for 15 years to Danielle and a proud father to two daughters, Addie Grace and Charleigh Rose. He is also involved in his community, serving on the Burke YMCA Board and as a deacon at Rosemont Baptist Church in Waynesboro, GA
Petition process for interested parties
Nominations by petition may be submitted to the Board Vice Chair, Amy Rouse. The petition must contain signatures of at least 1% of credit union members in good standing, maximum of 500. Petitions with nominee bio and qualifications must be submitted by February 8, 2025. If a petition is submitted, information for the nominee(s) will be posted in all credit union lobbies by February 13, 2025, for a period of 35 days. Elections will be held by acceptable ballot if there is more than one candidate for each expiring board seat. There will be no voting at the annual meeting and nominations may not be made from the meeting floor.
